Who we are
The Maine Coalition to Fight Prostate Cancer (MCFPC) was established in December 2005. The Coalition was developed by a group of prostate cancer survivors and their spouses. Members of the Coalition share the desire to raise awareness of prostate cancer and the importance of early detection.
Our Mission
There is an enormous cancer burden in Maine. The Maine Coalition to Fight Prostate Cancer is an all-volunteer organization that is dedicated to assisting men and their loved ones in managing a prostate cancer diagnosis. The Coalition is an extensive network of men and their partners who have already experienced many, if not most, issues confronting those who are dealing with prostate cancer. There is a Band of Brothers who want to make the journey for those who follow US easier than the one we experienced. The Coalition does extensive outreach to help educate and increase awareness about prostate cancer and it offers extensive assistance to anyone with questions.
The Coalition relies on donations to ensure that all services are provided free to people within Maine.
