Topics covered: Nutrition for the prevention and for the recurrence of prostate cancer. The role of body weight, exercise, fiber and dietary fat in the development of prostate cancer. What can you do to prevent a recurrence?

Speaker: Jill A. Young, Registered, Licensed Dietitian for 20 years with focus on Nutrition for Cancer patients. Currently working at CMMC. Graduated from the University of Maine at Orono and attended graduate school in Frederick Maryland. Worked for several years with oncology patients in the Washington D.C. Metro Area as well as with veterans at the USVA in Togus, Maine.

What Men and Women Need to Know about Prostate Cancer, Part 2

 

The Maine Coalition to Fight Prostate Cancer (MCFPC) has produced a new television program about prostate cancer and its effect on the lives of Mainers and their families. Entitled, What Men and Women Need to Know about Prostate Cancer, Part 2,  the new program is a sequel to the acclaimed program produced last summer and aired on public access channels around the state last September.
